Music nails!

Hey guys,

I chopped of my nails the day before yesterday :D
Why? Because I have another passion besides nail art and thats making music <3
I started playing my beloved guitar again, it's a 10 year old red Squire Stratocaster!
So long nails don't go with playing guitar obviously :)

So I made some music nail art, which shows all the things I love! - pianos, music, guitars and singing <3
I also practice on the bass from my boyfriend! :D

remember when I said in my last post, that I have a big surprise for you?

Haha, here's your surprise!: I bought the whole summer collection from ILNP XD
It consists of 5 holo and 6 multichrome polishes!

These are my first indie polishes I ever bought, so I went apeshit crazy as I got them yesterday in my mail <3<3<3
Shipping was extremely fast, as ILNP comes from Las Vegas (Vegas baby <3), I had them in just one week!

So without keeping you in suspense, here are the swatches! :D
Enjoy them as much as I do <3
And also, be prepared to be showered in my nail art posts in the future where I'm going to use them :D

MoyouLondon Nail Art Challenge Week 1

Hey guys!

Sorry for the lack of postings this month, but LacquerSistas participates in MoyouLondon's Nail Art Challenge!
We try and post a mani daily, as we want to win the awesome prize of a new real MoYou-London Set that will include 6 image plates, 3 nail polishes, a stamp & scraper.

The Lacquer Legion GLAM - Katy Perry Dark Horse Video Nailart Recreation

Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,

so this month theme from Lacquer Legion was "Glam", and I was kinda "meh" and uninspired when I've read it the first time. Actually, I had only ideas how the mani should NOT be. But somehow, the design now is what I truely associate with glam.

I went over the great Anthony Vincent who did a Katy Perry "Dark Horse" Edition in 20 different styles, and some of them went freaking awesome great. When I watched the video, I realized the thumbnail of Katy Perrys' original video. I knew the song only from the radio because it is played every three hours I think :D I was like "w00t" because the thumbnail looked like something egypt inspired. While I was watching the video asking myself why she picked that setting to this lyrics (I still don't get it!!) I realized that she and the dancers have FREAKING AWESOME nailart!!

So I think Kleopatra - which I think is her character in this video - was the first GLAMorous woman ever documented. She was aware and cared for her beauty and was admired by everybody who saw her - and especially Iulius Caesar of course. So I combined this to this nail art topic, and I'm gonna show you what I used to recreate two of the manis in the Dark Horse Video!

Yesterday I bought Green Depth from maybelline and when I came home and swatched it, my "dupe-senses" turned on and I found that I already had the EXACT SAME color! That never happened before! :D

Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,

so today I'm going to be very busy. But this is quite nice for me because especially the last days were really hard for me. And this day also especially is. 
Three years ago, my very very best friend died in a car accident. She was only 19 years old. I can't remember any day when she is not with me and in my mind, and find myself thinking of her every day and think about how she might would have reacted to things I would've told her. Or what she might tell me now. And what her life would be like.
That said and with many many pain in my heart, I decided to cope with this in my "new" way to cope with things, and made some nail art in her favourite color: green.

Mad Monday Mani - Water Marbel Tutorial!

today my cat Duzi has a "dentist appointment" and I'm a nervous wreck because she's in anesthesia and I'm so anxious :/
So I had to distract myself and made a quick tutorial on how to make a water marbel design!

As you may know, my lacquerista career started with a water marbeling tutorial on reddit, I started buying nail polish and more and more and more and more... yeah, I was instantly caught in a loop of buying polish and asking myself why? but that's ok, I know I'm not the only stupid one throwing my money out for this *looks at Bea* ;)
