Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
I feel like it has been AGES since my last blog post, and unfortunately it is! I was so busy with work/study/life last weeks that I hardly had time to do my nails, and especially there was no time to take some good photos or write a blog post :( but since all this busy times must come to an end, and I present to you a crazy nail art I did with Essie's Too Taboo Neon Collection 2014!

The Lacquer Legion GLAM - Katy Perry Dark Horse Video Nailart Recreation
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
so this month theme from Lacquer Legion was "Glam", and I was kinda "meh" and uninspired when I've read it the first time. Actually, I had only ideas how the mani should NOT be. But somehow, the design now is what I truely associate with glam.
I went over the great Anthony Vincent who did a Katy Perry "Dark Horse" Edition in 20 different styles, and some of them went freaking awesome great. When I watched the video, I realized the thumbnail of Katy Perrys' original video. I knew the song only from the radio because it is played every three hours I think :D I was like "w00t" because the thumbnail looked like something egypt inspired. While I was watching the video asking myself why she picked that setting to this lyrics (I still don't get it!!) I realized that she and the dancers have FREAKING AWESOME nailart!!
So I think Kleopatra - which I think is her character in this video - was the first GLAMorous woman ever documented. She was aware and cared for her beauty and was admired by everybody who saw her - and especially Iulius Caesar of course. So I combined this to this nail art topic, and I'm gonna show you what I used to recreate two of the manis in the Dark Horse Video!

Green-themed mani for the one who passed away
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
so today I'm going to be very busy. But this is quite nice for me because especially the last days were really hard for me. And this day also especially is.
Three years ago, my very very best friend died in a car accident. She was only 19 years old. I can't remember any day when she is not with me and in my mind, and find myself thinking of her every day and think about how she might would have reacted to things I would've told her. Or what she might tell me now. And what her life would be like.
That said and with many many pain in my heart, I decided to cope with this in my "new" way to cope with things, and made some nail art in her favourite color: green.

Watercolor Butterflies - feat maaaany colors of newest haul!
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
so since Leslie from work / play / polish left the first ever comment on this blog *yippie* and this was very positive to my #LLLucky contribution and the watercolor background I felt so honoured that I decided to give this technique another try - but wanted to try something else than a background for a mani (although this was awesome :D). And since here in Vienna summer resides and nature is still stuck in spring, I decided to do some butterflies!

What makes Bea feel lucky - Horses!
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
so this is the third time The Lacquer Legion announced a theme, and this time it was "Lucky". So what came to my mind were HUGE amount of St. Patricks Day manis we've seen this March, and I thought "well no". It had to be something WITHOUT any clovers, pigs, or other usual New Year's Eve giveaways that are associated with luck. And then I had it clearly in my mind: What makes me feel lucky are horses. Whenever I come to my barn to either ride or either take care of the horses of my riding instructor, this really makes me feel lucky.

Very first spring mani ...
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
so after this never-came winter here in eastern-Austria it seems that spring also skips its part and turns directly to summer - last Wednesday I went to barn to ride my rented horse (I'm sure there exists an english term for "Mitreiter" that I don't know ;)) and rode outside the hall in the sun with my summer outfit for the first time in 2014. This is how weather should really do it, it's so amazing!
So in case spring stops by though, I created my first spring-inspired mani ever, and this is the result:

If it has to be done quickly: Glitter ombre
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
so University has a lock on me again and it seems I have to kind of "reorganize" my "mani day" in the week. I usually have to go to University from Tuesday to Thursday and from in the evening, and I organized with my boss that I come to work every Monday, Thursday and Friday. Being busy with preparing things for university, hobbies (or simply living?) on the other days, there is very little time for my manis.
Beside this fact, I used to do my nails every about 5 days because as long as they are not completely chipped I feel fine with them and feel sad if I take them off.
I wanted to do something else than I did, but it didn't came out very well. I started preparing the f*** mani before I went to university on Wednesday and started to finish it after I came back home, but I did one hand and was like "meh, no". Since there is something called sleep which I wanted to do but didn't want to leave my nails plain, I grabbed two colors for a nice & easy 15 minute glitter ombre, and here is the result:

Our contributions to #LLadoration - Carnival Ombre + Apocalyptic Nails
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
it's time for The Lacquer Legion again, and this time the topic was "Adoration". The first thing that came to my mind was "OMBRE!", but I couldn't decide wheter to do a gradient or to do a glitter ombre. Now I mixed this up, both.
Another background for this design is the "Fasching" that will come to an end on next Wednesday. Fasching is the austrish word for carnival, a season that starts on November 11th at 11.11 am, when the "Narrenwecken" (wake up the fools) takes place every year. Fasching is a season to be jolly, tell jokes that everyone heard about 10,000 times and when balls and "Faschingsumzüge" (carnival parades) take place. And of course you eat Krapfen. Looooooots of Krapfen!!! The translation for Krapfen leo got me is "Jelly doughnut", I don't know if that is really correct because a Krapfen looks very different than a donut does here in Austria, maybe I get a Krapfen and can add a photo with this mani here later on :D Today I go to the show of a local "Faschingsgilde", and therefore I prepared my nails the very best I think!

Sally Hansen Satin Glam Mosaic Color Blocking somewhat madness + review
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna,
so on Facebook I announced you that I had a "freak out day two" last week, and this was the day when I FINALLY got my hands on Sally Hansen Satin Glam Collection! I went to my local supply I think every day since this collection was announced and it took AGES! Even after my last visit on Thursday I wrote Dani sayin "this collection will never ever come", then I went to another store and suddenly *bam* IT WAS THERE! I think I screamed so loud that everyone in the store thought the Zalando man came in (for non-German readers: Zalando has an advert where all the girls scream when postman brings their Zalando packets, and their slogan is "Schrei vor Glück", which rougly translates to "scream from luck").
So, after I was lucky, I got my hands on the whole collection that hit Austrish stores, and this made me create a real cool mani which I want to share with you now, including a little review of those little treasuries.

Finally I got him ... my nail polish desk! (+ bonus bunny)
Hello folks and a warm "Servus" from Vienna!
I am very excited to show you what I got this week after long planning and working ... and lagging ... and even more lagging ... my new nail polish desk!
When my collection grew and my small Ikea Samla box wasn't enough *gg* I discussed the idea of a nail polish desk with my lovely boyfriend. When we finally found the right location, my boyfriend drew a plan with the precision of a technical physicist that he is *gg*
My dad is a hobby joiner, he did nearly all the cupboards that we have in our flat, and he is a very focused, exact worker and still thinks about what fits right to the flair of a room. So we gave him our plan, and he decided to do it!
